This summer Peter Chomowicz (MICA Env. Design Chair) and I took ten female MICA Design students to partner with Zayed University (ZU), Dubai. Doctor Nanci Takeyama, Graphic Design instructor ZU selected eleven female design students to act as cultural ambassadors and participants in the project. We spent a few days traveling around Dubai to understand cultural nuances and then spent the remaining time developing design responses to address what was common, different and stereotypical.

Students were divided into four teams made up from equal numbers of MICA and ZU students.
