Martha’s Place wanted to create a place where the community could come and remember the loved ones they had lost to drug addiction. The design idea of the mural and reflection area was conceived in the Design Coalition class and presented to Martha’s Place where a professional mural artist executed it. The reflection area has a bench that contains a notebook and pen placed underneath. The community sits and remembers by writing in the book. The book then becomes a living testimony for those who have passed.
